Personalised, holistic care to relieve pain and discomfort

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is an holistic form of specialised manual therapy which aims to address the underlying cause of your pain and discomfort. Osteopaths use hands-on treatment including joint mobilisation, stretching and massage to relieve pain and discomfort. Osteopathy is based on the principle that a person’s well-being depends on their entire body working well for you to function at your best.

We are also allied health professionals (like physiotherapists and occupational therapists). We are trained to screen for medical conditions and will tell you if you need to see another health professional such as your GP or midwife.

What can osteopathy help with?

Osteopathic treatment can be helpful for problems associated with many areas of the body and variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

Antenatal and postnatal aches and pains

Back pain and sciatica

Neck and shoulder pain/stiffness

Headaches and migraine prevention

Muscle and joint pain and spasms

Jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction)

RSI

Arthritis

I was experiencing neck pain and headaches. Karly is really professional, knowledgeable and approachable and to top it off has magic hands! She treated my neck as part of initial treatment and follow up, and gave me suggestions to make some simple changes and useful exercises to do at home which really made a difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Karly!
